Depart for the epic Southern Hokianga. En route visit the fabulous Kauri Museum in Matakohe. A light lunch at the Gold Diggers Cafe is included. Then onwards to the Kai Iwi lakes for a short stop and then a guided encounter with Tane Mahuta in the mighty Waipoua Forest. We continue to our stunning Omapere beachside location. This morning visit Manea Footprints of Kupe, a 75-minute multi-sensory journey of guided storytelling. Stop at Rawene for lunch at the delightful waterfront Boatshed Cafe. This afternoon we tour Kemp House & the Stone Store and continue on to Paihia.

SUN 30 MAR - BAY OF ISLANDS SIGHTSEEING B,D
After breakfast, we visit Waitangi Treaty Grounds for a private guided tour, cultural show and time to explore the museum. We stop for lunch (own expense) and this afternoon we head out on the fabulous Cape Brett ‘’Hole in the Rock Dolphin ’’ Cruise.
MON 31 MAR - PAIHIA/RUSSELL/TAIPA BEACH B,L,D
Today we take the ferry over to Russell for free time. Lunch at the historic Duke of Marlborough and later we take a leisurely drive to Taipa via Doubtless Bay and Mangonui. Stay Taipa Beach Resort (2 nights).
TUE 01 APR - CAPE REINGA DAY TRIP B,L,D
Depart for the magical full-day excursion to Cape Reinga including a drive down the sands of Ninety Mile Beach. Lunch is included.
WED 02 APR - TAIPA/WHANGAREI B,D
Head South for Whangarei, stop at Makana Confections then on to Kawakawa for lunch (own expense). Admire the Hundertwasser toilets designed by world famous Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Later today we delve deeper into his fascinating work, on a guided tour of the Hundertwasser Museum in Whangarei. Stay Distinction Whangarei (1 night).

Take the coastal route to Auckland with lunch and a tour at the Sculptureum. Arrive in Auckland late afternoon.
