FRI 29 AUG - MANONO ISLAND DAY TOUR
A fascinating insight into Samoan culture and life. An hour's drive to the west and then 20 minutes by boat brings us to Manono Island. The boat leaves from Cape Lefatu, with views of the crater island of Apolima along the way. The island is entirely enclosed by a reef, with stunning crystal-clear water. On reaching Manono we will be greeted by our Samoan hosts for a briefing on Samoan customs and etiquette. Meet the locals and learn about their locally grown products and their uses. An Umu lunch is included. Electricity was only introduced here in 1995. It was here that the highest chiefs lived. In Manono there is a very Samoan atmosphere, no noise, no dogs, no vehicles, and the main thoroughfare is a footpath that follows the coast. Island life has hardly changed in the last 100 years. SAT 30 AUG - SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast we depart on a half day tour of Apia including the first German monument, Parliament, tombs, Lands & Titles Court plus a drive up to Mount Carmel Church for a view of Apia town and harbour. Experience a traditional Fiafia Buffet & Show for dinner tonight at the hotel. Included: B, D
SUN 31 AUG - CHURCH SERVICE /VILLAGE TOUR
This morning after breakfast an uplifting Church service and afterwards enjoy a tour of the village and light refreshments. Upon return to the Hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure. Included: B
MON 01 SEP - SUA OCEAN TREANCH, WATERFALLS
Today is a full day tour visiting To Sua Ocean Trench and to view the Sopoaga and Papapapataia waterfalls including a Coconut husking and demonstration. Tonight is freedom dining at your own expense. Stay at the resort or catch a taxi into Apia and explore some of the local restaurants. Included: B, L
